We are now combining 2 antique step ladders to make a double sided frame wooden ladders for shelving. The internet is such a great tool for finding unique ways to display your collectibles and pieces that add interest to your homes decor. Our clients see different forms and ask us to make them so here is one of the suggestions coming to life.
We make these in 5 steps as you see here and also a taller version
with 6 steps all formed from 2 vintage ladders.
A 5 step ladder is approximately 58" tall. It will be approx. 48" wide at the feet when opened. Understand that we do NOT furnish the planking. You can purchase these at your local lumber yard. It does not seem reasonable to ship boards and we would not know the length that will work for your space.
We know that coordinating this shelving with your surroundings is important to you so we are offering you lots of colors to choose from. Look closely at our sample pictures. The rustic colors have been painted with a Dry Brushed Technique to carry on the Antique Vintage Look. The Full Coat Can Lids Sample Colors have full surface coverage using a Spray Satin Paint. With the full coverage our old ladders will still have a great vintage flair.
Smaller items can be packaged and ship through UPS or FedEx Ground.
Larger, heavier items need to ship through a freight company and will deliver by a large tractor trailer. They usually park on the street and offer curb deliveries only. Normally they have a lift gate to drop the order to the ground and move it to the side.
Business Deliveries - To be classed as a business you need to keep hours and be located in a business district. They will not call for an appointment so someone needs to be there during business hours to sign for it or there will be redelivery fees.
Residential - The trucks deliver right to your home. The shipper will call you to give you a window of time when the truck will arrive. An adult needs to be home to inspect and sign for the shipment. If for some reason you are not there redelivery fees will apply.
On Ground orders, you may be liable for charges outside of your transaction for taxes and duties in crossing your items over to Canada.
On Freight orders, please arrange with a local Canadian broker before calling us to set up shipment.
