I hung these New Orleans wrought iron exterior shutters for doors on my old brick smoke house and what a POP they made. I think they would work well inside your home surrounding the doorway much like side lights do. Actually, you might find several places for this wall art.
My 1848 era home is in middle Illinois, and the smokehouse sits right behind our home. During the 1800's, they would have butchered their own cows and pigs, then hang the meat from hooks to cure using smoke from the fireplace in the lower level. Yes, it sits in Illinois, but these metal shutters have the French Quarter look. I just LOVE them!
We are selling them by the piece because I know our customers will use them as wall art inside their homes as well as flanking the doorways outside.
10.5" wide x 81" tall. We also offer shorter window shutters in this style as you can see in the last picture.
We ship to the lower 48 U.S. for free on orders over $40.00.
Smaller items can be packaged and ship through FedEx Ground and will deliver to your front door without a signature required.
Larger, heavier items need to ship through a freight company and will deliver by a large tractor trailer. They usually park on the street and offer curb deliveries only. Normally they have a lift gate to drop the order to the ground and move it to the side.
Business Deliveries - To be classed as a business you need to keep hours and be located in a business district. They will not call for an appointment so someone needs to be there during business hours to sign for it or there will be re-delivery fees.
Residential - The trucks deliver right to your home. The shipper will call you to give you a window of time when the truck will arrive. An adult needs to be home to inspect and sign for the shipment. If for some reason, you are not there, re-delivery fees will apply. If you need an additional handling service added to your delivery, these service fees will also be applied.
On Ground orders, you may be liable for charges outside of your transaction for taxes and duties in crossing your items over to Canada.
On Freight orders, please arrange with a local Canadian broker before calling us to set up shipment.
