  
Wrought Iron Interlocking Fence - Reproduction Connecting Fencing - 4' Tall
The wrought iron Hoop and Spear interlocking fence is actually welded steel. It can enclose a pet or showcase a rose garden. Install the garden fence and gateway yourself in minutes! One spear post and one section of fence is sold together for $79.95. Above ground the fence measures 48" high x 43.5" wide each when installed. The distance between the vertical rods is 3 1/8" apart, for those that are thinking of enclosing small pets. The steel rod size is 7/16 of an inch thick. The rods meet the soil surface so they cannot get under the fence. The fence has two horizontal flat pieces. The ends are drilled so the staking spears slide through to attach the fence together and then go into the ground 9". There are also two vertical rods on the fence that extends into the ground so you have anchors into the ground every 14".... VERY STURDY!
****When buying a run of fence one end spear comes with each fence section. Since each section overlaps the previous one you will need to buy one extra staking spear whenever your fence stops. Your fencing might stop for a gateway, tree, building or at the far end.
It will take more time to mark the ground, to position the fence, than it will to put it up. One section of fence and one spear weigh 35 pounds. I could not bend it even if I jumped on it with three friends! We have gates and arches too! Our fencing is unfinished and usually has a rusty finish. You can paint it or clear coat it.
